T-Mobile’s free texts followed by O2’s free text and web

Last week’s “unlimited free texts” deal from T-Mobile seems to have prompted a response from O2. T-Mobile created an “unlimited free texts for life” offer for consumers who topped up their pay as you go account with £10 a month. However, the deal is only available until 31st October.

Now O2 has launched a prepay tariff offering unlimited web access and unlimited text messages when customers top up with £15 a month. It’s also only available before 31st October and has a text-only option for £10 a month. [T-Mobile press release; O2 press release]
