T-Mobile UK could be swapped, not sold

Press reports have suggested that Deutsche Telekom would prefer an asset swap instead of selling or merging T-Mobile UK. Both Vodafone and Telefonica, O2’s parent, had previously been suggested as potential purchasers – and this latest proposal suggests they’re still the most likely bidders. It’s said that Vodafone’s Turkish business would make a well-suited partner for Deutsche Telekom’s Greek business. [Sources: FT.com; Guardian.co.uk]
