Symbian Foundation web sites to close on 17th December

SymbianThe recent news that the Symbian Foundation was becoming a licensing body and cutting back on day-to-day operations will result in the organisation’s web sites closing on 17th December 2010, according to an announcement at the weekend.

Most of the content currently accessible online (including source code and reference documentation) is expected to become available on DVD or USB drive from the Symbian Foundation next year.

All the symbian.org websites hosted by the Symbian Foundation will be affected. The @Symbian Twitter feed and the Symbian.org fan page on Facebook are also likely to be discontinued. Developer support will continue to be available via Forum Nokia.
