Samsung has announced that it’s the first smartphone provider accredited for joyn ‘Blackbird’.
Blackbird is the latest version of the GSMA’s joyn service, which was launched in 2012.

Joyn compatibility due later this year
Libon, the Orange mobile app that offers free VoIP calls along with messaging and voicemail, has now been launched on Android. The iOS version of the app was released last year.
Both apps are available in the UK to customers on any network.

Spain’s three main mobile network operators - Movistar, Orange and Vodafone - have each launched Rich Communication Services (RCS) through the GSMA’s consumer-facing joyn brand.
It means that Spain has become the first country to offer this type of cross-network rich communications solution to mobile phone users.
