News Corporation has decided to stop publishing its American ‘iPad newspaper’, The Daily, although it says the brand will live on in other channels. The last edition will appear on 15th December, after which its technology and some of its staff will become part of The New York Post.
Launched in February last year, The Daily was priced at 99 cents per issue or $39.99 (around £25) per year.

Fox Mobile Group - which includes the Jamba, Jamster, Mobizzo, iLove and Bitbop brands - has been acquired from News Corporation by Jesta Group.

News Corp., the media company run by Rupert Murdoch, is reported to be considering the sale of its Fox Mobile Group businesses. Fox Mobile includes Jamster, which offers ringtones and other mobile content via the Jamba brand. News Corp took control of Jamster in 2006 and bought it in 2008.
