Google introduces its mobile payment rival to Apple Pay
Google has launched its Android Pay mobile payment service in the UK today.
It first introduced the service to the USA around nine months ago.

LoopPay tech will be part of Samsung Pay
Samsung Electronics has announced a new mobile payment service called Samsung Pay.
It combines what it’s calling Magnetic Secure Transmission - the technology used by its recent acquisition LoopPay - with Near Field Communication. As a result, it says consumers will be able to use secure mobile payments at ‘nearly all’ merchant locations.

Over 2 billion mobile phone and tablet users will make some form of mobile commerce transaction by the end of 2017, according to a new report from Juniper Research.
That’s up from an anticipated 1.6 billion people this year.

This year, 101 million people worldwide are expected to use NFC (Near Field Communication) contactless payment services on a mobile device.
However, that figure is expected to increase to 516 million mobile users by the end of 2019.
