French telecoms company MobiWire - formerly Sagem Wireless - appears to have filed for insolvency.
Court documents show receivership ("redressement judiciaire") being pronounced on 28th April and papers being issued today, with a hearing set for 23rd June 2011.

Sagem Wireless, which recently produced branded mobile devices including the Porsche Design mobile phone and the Puma phone, has become MobiWire. This change of name marks a new focus on the user experience and connected services within branded consumer electronics devices.
As part of the announcement, MobiWire has revealed Surface, its recently-patented Android user interface.

It's been announced that the solar-powered PUMA touchscreen mobile phone will be distributed in the UK by Elite Mobile through an exclusive partnership agreement with Sagem Wireless. The PUMA Phone, described as a 'smartphone' with a proprietary operating system, is equipped with a 2.8-inch screen, a 3.2-megapixel camera, multimedia player, FM radio, expandable memory, GPS and pedometer.
