Google says it’s planning to launch a new iOS and Android ‘smart messaging’ app called Allo, along with a video calling app called Duo.
Both are based on the user’s mobile phone number, drawing comparisons with WhatsApp.

Nokia has announced the launch of its first-ever Android tablet.
The Nokia N1 is being made for Nokia by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner and is due to go on sale in the first quarter of 2015.

BlackBerry has announced a brand new smartphone: the BlackBerry Passport.
It’s equipped with a square screen and has a physical QWERTY keyboard. Each key has a touch-sensitive surface, which means the keyboard can also be used in a similar way to a trackpad.
