The Wholesale Applications Community has announced 10 new members, bringing its membership to 68 companies. Adobe, Amdocs, Eyeline, HP, IBM, Minigate, Neustar, Panasonic, SAP and SanDisk have all recently joined.
WAC is an alliance of telecommunications companies committed to building an open applications platform. It was announced a year ago at Mobile World Congress and had 24 founding members. Details of its commercial launch will be announced on Monday.
Peters Suh, the CEO of WAC, said “We continue to attract a healthy pipeline of members from across the mobile industry, as evidenced by companies such as HP, IBM and SAP joining the programme. In Barcelona, we will be revealing much more in terms of WAC’s momentum, with WAC-enabled application stores and fully functional WAC devices supporting the latest applications.”
