Tesco opens its first stand-alone Phone Shop

Tesco has opened its first ‘Phone Shop’ that isn’t inside a supermarket. Instead, the Bristol-based store is a separate shop next to a Tesco Metro unit in the Broadmead shopping centre.

The Tesco Phone Shop offers prepay and contract connections on a number of networks, including the retailer’s own Tesco Mobile MVNO.

Apparently the new store doesn’t form part of a new strategy but was opened because the unit adjacent to the supermarket became available.
