Texting while driving is the second-biggest cause of accidents
A study by Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh has found that three out of four vehicle accidents are caused by the driver being distracted. The biggest distraction was having unruly children in the car, followed by sending SMS text messages. Anonymous questionnaires were used to collect the responses, which showed that 40% of drivers had written a text message while driving. [Source: BBC News]
