The average new mobile is less than 14mm thick
Figures based on new mobile phones released in July show that the average new handset is less than 14mm deep. Strategy Analytics says 109 new mobiles were announced by 27 companies worldwide, although only 53 had detailed specifications available. The proportion with USB support and a memory card slot increased to 85% and 87% respectively, although HSDPA support dropped to 21%. Average talk time is now 343 minutes; almost 5¾ hours.
