The Mobile Monday London community has teamed up with University College London’s UCL Advances centre to launch a 10-week course called The Mobile Academy. It’s a 36-hour evening programme designed to help anyone who wants to start or continue innovating with mobile technology.
Unlike many other courses, The Mobile Academy focuses on the business, design and technological aspects of developing successful mobile products, services and experiences.
Participants are encouraged to develop their own ideas as they progress through the programme, which consists of talks, workshops and clinics delivered by industry professionals from successful start-ups and major mobile organisations such as Nokia, Samsung, Opera and Droidcon.
Regular participants can claim a Certificate of Continued Professional Development at the end of the CPD-accredited course.
Sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.30pm to 9pm, starting on 18th September 2012. They’ll take place at UCL locations near Euston and will run until 22nd November 2012. The course, which is subsidised by sponsorship, costs £300 plus a £17 booking fee.
