There's now an iPhone app for cleaning your teeth

The latest example of there being an app for almost everything comes from German psychiatrist Dr Einhardt Illing, who has developed an iPhone application that motivates children to brush their teeth.

Motivetrix guides the user through brushing by using colour sequences. At the beginning, the iPhone screen shows a full set of teeth. It then displays the individual tooth areas in different colours to indicate when – and for how long – they should be brushed. The user simply follows the sequence when brushing their teeth, ending when the whole set of on-screen teeth is coloured in.

As well as being a motivational tool for children, Motivetrix can also educate by indicating the different groups of teeth in the mouth. It's available for €2.49. Just don't drop your iPhone in the bath.
