UK mobile banking numbers have grown 30% since last year

A new report from researchers at the Future Foundation in association with mobile banking company Monitise has shown that the UK's mobile banking market has grown by over 30% year-on-year. 5.6% of adults now use their mobile phones to manage their finances, up from 4.3% last year. However, the figure is still significantly less than online banking, which has attracted around a quarter of UK current account holders.

The Future Foundation also found that customers trusted technology more than branch staff and call centres. Technology was rated 6.95 out of ten, while in-brand staff rated 7.0 and call centres rated just 5.26. [Report]
