UK smartphone manufacturer Kazam reveals seven new Android handsets

London-based smartphone manufacturer Kazam, which launched in June this year, has announced its first devices. There are five smartphones in the Kazam Trooper range and two Kazam Thunder handsets that are expected to be made available across Europe, although specific country availability hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The company says it’s “obsessive about quality, relevant technology and disruptive pricing”. It’s aiming to set itself apart from other manufacturers by offering a screen replacement if the phone is damaged during the first twelve months. In addition, ‘Kazam Rescue’ enables customer support staff to remotely access a device to help with any setup issues.

The Kazam Thunder handsets are higher-spec smartphones, while the Trooper are mid-range devices. All run Android, are dual-SIM, have removable batteries and can support SD memory cards.

Michael Coombes, Kazam’s CEO, said “Six months ago KAZAM was founded and to be announcing our first phones today is incredible. We are small and experienced, ensuring we are quick to adapt and react to the changing needs of our local markets. There is much more to come from our exciting brand.”

The company founders, Michael Coombes and James Atkins, previously worked for HTC in the UK.
