Mobile Broadband Network Limited (MBNL), the joint venture owned by Three UK and EE, has given Ericsson a five-year contract to manage its radio access network in the UK. MBNL was originally formed in 2007 to provide Three and T-Mobile with better service by combining their 3G masts and associated infrastructure.
Ericsson will now provide MBNL with an end-to-end service that includes operations and management for its 2G and 3G networks. It’ll also work with EE and Three UK’s deployments of 4G LTE technology.

Ericsson will deliver a further enhancement to the service levels we achieve, and drive continuous service improvement and innovation to further extend our lead in positive customer experience.”
Ericsson currently has more than 300 managed services contracts in more than 100 countries, supporting over 1 billion subscribers worldwide.
