Samsung Galaxy S4 reaches 10 million sales in less than a month

Samsung Electronics says its Android-powered Galaxy S4 smartphone has already sold 10 million units since sales began on 26th April, less than a month ago. That’s the equivalent of four phones every second.

Sales of the Samsung Galaxy SIII took 50 days to reach 10 million, with the Galaxy SII taking five months and the original Galaxy S taking seven months to reach 10 million devices sold.

JK Shin, CEO and President of the IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics, said “On behalf of Samsung, I would like to thank the millions of customers around the world who have chosen the Samsung GALAXY S4. At Samsung we’ll continue to pursue innovation inspired by and for people.”

New colour variants are now planned for the Samsung Galaxy S4 range this summer. There’ll be Blue Arctic, Red Aurora, Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn versions joining the current White Mist and Black Forest options.
