Yahoo! has acquired mobile to-do list and task manager Astrid. The long-term future of the acclaimed app now appears to be uncertain, with Astrid saying it will continue to work for the next 90 days. However, chargeable subscriptions are no longer being accepted and refunds for existing users are being prepared.

More than 4 million people are believed to have downloaded Astrid apps and used its free and chargeable services.

In a blog post, co-founder Jon Paris said “When we set out to build Astrid, we sought to help as many people as possible become happier, healthier and more productive. We’re really excited to join the mobile team and continue this work with Yahoo!’s goal of ‘making the world’s daily habits more inspiring and entertaining’.”

I would recommend checking out Gtdagenda for an online GTD manager.

You can use it to manage your goals, projects and tasks, set next actions and contexts, use checklists, and a calendar.

Syncs with Evernote, and also comes with mobile-web version, and Android and iPhone apps.
