The latest version of Google Maps for mobile has just been released, enabling users to overlay ‘layers’ of information on the map – from local search results and public transport to tourist information and other custom entries. Google Maps for mobile v3.2 is currently available on Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile handsets via m.google.com/maps; versions for other platforms will follow.
Nokia’s desktop music software has also been updated to version 1.3, ahead of major releases later this year. Device connection has been improved in the latest version of Nokia Music, as has artwork display and other parts of the user interface. [Google Mobile blog; Ovi blog]
