Vodafone follows O2 by cutting SMS charges for charities

Last year we reported how O2 UK was cutting its charges for charities that receive donations by text message.

Vodafone UK is now doing the same, increasing the amount of money each charity receives to 90p of every £1. This applies to any donations of £1 or more from Vodafone customers via a five digit “short code” number that starts 70. The 10p charge covers network and third party costs.
