Nokia cutting back on R&D

Nokia’s closing one of its Finnish research & development sites and is reducing work at another in order to increase cost-efficiency. The Jyväskylä facility will be closed by the end of 2009, affecting around 320 employees, while the 2,500 employees at Salo will be temporarily laid off in groups. [Press release]
