HP and Qualcomm demonstrate Android-powered smartbook

It uses the Android operating system and Qualcomm's Snapdragon QSD8250 1GHz processor… but it's not a mobile phone. The as-yet-unnamed device from HP and Qualcomm is a smartbook, offering the features of a smartphone in the form factor of a netbook. It's been demonstrated at CES 2010, although there's no news yet about pricing or availability.

Steve Manser, senior vice president in the Personal Systems Group at HP, said "By leveraging the unique features of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon chipset and the Android operating system, HP is showcasing an entirely new type of mobile device designed specifically for consumers who live a large part of their lives online."
