Watch out Ovi, Google Maps Navigation has reached its UK destination

Last year Google transformed its free 'Google Maps' application into a GPS turn-by-turn navigation service for Android-powered mobile phones. That service was just available in the USA – but from today it's also working in the UK and Ireland.

Nokia already has a free mobile sat-nat service available in the UK; it turned Ovi Maps into a free download for selected Nokia phones in January.
