Verizon Wireless to get Apple iPhone 4 in USA

AT&T’s three-year exclusive hold on the Apple iPhone in the United States will end next month. Verizon Wireless is to stock the iPhone 4 from 10th February, with existing customers able to pre-order from 3rd February. 

Lowell McAdam, president and chief operating officer of Verizon, said “We are pleased to introduce millions of wireless users to the industry leading iPhone 4 on the nation’s most reliable network. This is an important step for the industry as two great companies join forces to give wireless customers one of the most important technological additions to the mobile landscape this century.” 

The iPhone 4 is expected to retail at $199.99 for the 16GB model and $299.99 for the 32GB model on a two-year contract. Verizon’s version will be be a CDMA model, not the current GSM handset.
