Vodafone to cut 500 UK jobs
Vodafone says it's cutting around 500 UK jobs as part of its ongoing cost-reduction process. 170 jobs will go at the company's Newbury HQ, with 330 being trimmed from other operations. Some call centres are being reorganised and online operations will be stepped up, although all stores will remain open. The job cuts represent around 5% of the company's 10,000 UK workforce.
