Vodafone to sell SoftBank for £3.1 billion

Today Vodafone has announced its results for the first half of the current financial year. It's also said it's selling Japan's SoftBank Corp for a total of ¥412.5 billion (£3.1 billion). Vodafone acquired SoftBank when it sold Vodafone Japan in 2006.

£1.6 billion will be received next month, with the final £1.5 billion expected in April 2012.
