Vodafone and Teleena have announced a partnership that’ll make it easier for companies to launch MVNOs in the UK. It’s similar to the partnership between Orange UK and Transatel, which was announced last October and could deliver up to 30 new virtual networks within 12 months.
Teleena, a Mobile Virtual Network Enabler, will be able to sign up mobile virtual network operators and put them on Vodafone’s UK network. It’ll offer bespoke voice, messaging, data and billing services for pre-paid and post-paid services, with its first customers expected towards the end of this year. Teleena will handle proposition management and technical requirements, leaving the MVNO to focus on marketing, sales and customer management.
