Vodafone has changed its mind about withholding bonuses from its UK staff. CEO Guy Laurence told the company’s 10,000 staff in March that bonuses would be scrapped, irrespective of performance, and salaries frozen. However, in a memo sent last week, staff were told that the company was “in a turnaround situation” and it was “important to recognise the work that went into last year”. As a result, staff will receive 2% of their salary as a bonus next month. [Source: Independent.co.uk]
