Vodafone UK to end its Phones 4u network agreement and boost its Dixons Carphone partnership

It’s reported that Vodafone UK won’t renew its network agreement with Phones 4u when it ends in February next year. This means Phones 4u shops will not be able to offer ‘pay monthly’ connections and upgrades on the Vodafone network. It already does not offer these connections via O2 or Three.

Vodafone is also said to be strengthening its partnership with the newly merged Dixons Carphone business.

Phones 4u launched its own EE-based LIFE Mobile virtual network in 2013. It also has relationships with EE and with Virgin Mobile, which runs as a MVNO via EE.
