Windows Mobile 6.5 available on new devices from 6th October

Microsoft says its Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system will be available on a number of new handsets from 6th October. The new operating system promises a touch-friendly interface and a new web browser, along with improved notifications and updates. 

European suppliers will include Acer, HTC, LG Electronics, Samsung, Sony Ericsson and Toshiba, along with the Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone networks. [Windows Mobile blog]
