World’s first Welsh-language mobile from Samsung

Samsung launched the world’s first Irish-language phone in 2008 – the Samsung Tocco – and is following this love for language with the world’s first Welsh-language mobile phone. It’s the touch-screen Samsung S5600 and it’ll be available exclusively on Orange from 1st September 2009; first in Wales, then elsewhere and online. The S5600 will offer Welsh menus and Welsh predictive text with over 44,000 Welsh words stored on the device. [Press release]
