With many manufacturers working toward smaller and lighter phones, it's interesting to see Samsung heading in the opposite direction. In partnership with US network Cricket it's produced "the world's largest working cell phone" (which, surely, makes it the world's largest mobile phone) and is inviting Chicago residents to make free calls and send free texts from the device - which measures 11 feet by 15 feet. It's a replica of the Samsung Messager, which has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Sadly it uses CDMA2000 technology, so it's unlikely we'll be seeing this giant phone in the UK. [Press release]
