We don’t have 4G LTE in the UK yet - but it looks as though LTE is going to be one of the biggest themes at this year’s Mobile World Congress.
ZTE Corporation has announced plans to launch two new LTE handsets at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona next week. Both will run Android v4.0 (‘Ice Cream Sandwich’).
The ZTE PF200 smartphone will have a 4.3-inch screen, an 8 megapixel MP camera and NFC. This looks more like a European model, thanks to 2G and 3G capabilities, while the ZTE N910 handset has a US focus with LTE FDD, CDMA and EVDO compatibility. One has a 1.2GHz processor, the other 1.5GHz, although ZTE hasn’t offered much additional information.
He Shiyou, Executive Vice President and Head of the Terminal Division of ZTE, said “These LTE devices are the fore-runners of a wide range of LTE devices ZTE will bring to the market in the coming months, and as more and more LTE networks come on stream. They will be feature products – among a very wide range of devices on display at the ZTE stand at Mobile World Congress 2012.”
