Apple share price puts it ahead of Microsoft

Yesterday's share trading put the value of Apple at $222 billion, ahead of Microsoft's $219 billion. It's the first time in 20 years that Apple's market capitalisation has been greater than Microsoft's.

It means that Apple is now – according to this measure - the world’s most valuable technology company. However, Microsoft's recent revenue and income figures still put it ahead.
