Co-founder Dominic Keen to become new CEO of MoBank

Steve Townend, Chief Executive and co-founder of mobile banking service MoBank, says he plans to step aside from the CEO role this year. He’ll become Executive Deputy Chairman, with co-founder and current COO Dominic Keen taking over the CEO role.

The news, revealed in a post on Steve’s personal blog, comes four years after the company was founded.

In the blog post Steve says “I will have the freedom to map out the future of MoBank, particularly with regard to international expansion and strategic partnerships.  I will also keep a paternal interest in the brand and culture and continue to be the face of MoBank  (to protect the ego!)”

We've interviewed Steve Townend on TheFonecast.com a couple of times, in August 2009 and in November 2010.
