France Telecom publishes Q1 results for Orange UK

France Telecom says Orange has increased its UK customer base from 15.85 million in Q1 2009 to 16.44 million in Q1 2010. Churn has fallen to 18.4%. The proportion of 'contract' customers has grown, while the proportion (and number) of prepay customers has fallen. 43.3% of Orange UK customers now have 'pay monthly' contracts.

Revenue from the UK mobile business is almost unchanged from the same quarter last year, up 0.4% to 1.242 billion Euro. Overall, France Telecom saw revenue of 10.96 billion Euro, down 2.7% year-on-year.
