Easy-to-use mobile phone pioneer Doro has revealed its latest smartphone at Mobile World Congress 2015. The new device is called the Doro Liberto 820 Mini and uses Doro’s own user interface on top of Android v4.4.2, although customers also have access to the Google Play Store.

Promising ‘an accessible price point’, the Liberto 820 Mini is a compact (4-inch screen) version of the Doro Liberto 820 launched last year. It’s supplied with a charging dock that automatically turns the phone into a clock and enables it to receive calls on its hands-free loudspeaker.

As with the Liberto 820, the 820 Mini is equipped with built-in coaching and the cloud-based ‘My Doro Manager’ device management tool, allowing family members to offer remote assistance.

Chris Millington, Managing Director at Doro UK & Ireland, said “The device enables quick and fuss-free communication through digital channels - along with a door into the world of social networking, mobile applications and digital medias such as video and photos. The phone has an inbuilt coach offering full support and guidance at every touch point of the user’s journey of digital discovery.”

The Doro Liberto 820 Mini is launching via the Tesco Mobile virtual mobile network.

Last month we spoke to Doro UK MD Chris Millington about the Doro Liberto 820 and the state of the mobile industry in 2015.
