International virtual mobile network Lycamobile has appointed Chris Tooley as its new CEO. He replaces Milind Kangle, who left the company earlier this year.

Mr Tooley joined Lycamobile in 2004, almost ten years ago.

In addition, chief operating officer Premananthan Sivasamy is being promoted to a new role of Deputy Chairman.

Subaskaran Allirajah, chairman of the Lycamobile Group, said “It is crucial to the future development of Lycamobile’s success that our management team is rich in experience and understanding of the business. I am confident that Chris’s extensive knowledge of both the mobile telecoms industry and Lycamobile itself will serve him brilliantly as the new CEO of our flagship brand. I am delighted to announce Prem’s appointment to Deputy Chairman. He has been instrumental in our success and his deep knowledge of all our businesses will be vital in defining the future growth strategy for the Lycamobile Group.”
