Cortado, until now best known for its cloud desktop service and wireless printing solution, has announced a new service that combines cloud-based file storage with mobile device management and corporate network access.

Cortado Corporate Server 6.0 enables businesses to offer remote access to staff with iPhones, iPads, Android devices and BlackBerry smartphones. An organisation’s IT department can control devices and user activities without adversely affecting the overall user experience.

Carsten Mickeleit, CEO and President of Cortado AG, said “Integrating devices into the corporate network has always been one of the main focuses in developing Cortado Corporate Server, which in its latest version has been enhanced with additional MDM features. The result is Cortado Corporate Server 6.0, the world’s only mobile device management system to deliver a full range of desktop features for iOS, Android, and BlackBerry devices as well as PCs and Macs, enabling organizations to realize their BYOD (bring your own device) programs.”

Cortado Corporate Server 6.0 includes file sharing, mobile device management, cloud printing, an enterprise application store and mobile data compression. It’s expected to be available in the next few weeks.
