Mark Bridge writes:

At 12 noon today, Hans Eriksson of Bambuser will end his 24-hour non-stop mobile broadcasting challenge.

He’s been in London with an iPhone and a seemingly endless supply of batteries, enjoying off-beat destinations at the direction of his online audience.

Not everything went quite as planned; some locations didn’t allow cameras, sometimes network coverage was patchy, sometimes the online suggestions descended into the language of the schoolyard.

But overall I’d say Bambuser, crowd-sourcing and Hans all acquitted themselves very well.

I caught up with Hans a couple of hours before he started - and asked him what was worrying him the most.

“We don’t worry about the service, we just want to get the opportunity to get people to understand that services like this are available”, he said. “My general opinion of people is that people are friendly, they’re helpful, they want to be supportive, they don’t want to be mean. My biggest concern is really to stay awake for 24 hours. Battery... connectivity... it’s going to be a concern all the way, but I can only do my best.”
