In The Fonecast podcast feature this week we’re looking at mobile applications and trying to work out exactly what makes a good app.

We start by talking to Colin McCaffery, Product and Technology Director at 2ergo, before calling Carsten Frien, CEO & Co-Founder of madvertise.

2ergo has recently been in the news because it developed an application for Pizza Express that lets customers pay their restaurant bill from their phone. It’s also the company providing the technology behind Orange Wednesdays and a number of other online services.

madvertise is a mobile advertising company that’s based in Germany but has recently opened offices in a number of other countries, including the UK. Its KatAPPult service guarantees to get mobile applications into the top 25 of the relevant app store rankings within 48 hours.

Mark Bridge writes:

The most memorable moments in life often go unrecorded. You don't have your camera in your hands. Your finger is still hovering over the 'pause' button on your audio recorder. Or you were simply too busy experiencing whatever was happening. It's all about the one that got away.

That's where Kapture can help.
