A study from the Alcatel-Lucent Global Youth Lab – young people aged 18 to 26 from eleven countries – has revealed that 81% showed a strong interest in using their mobile phones as wallets, with 89% willing to pay a monthly fee for the service. The acceptable median monthly fee was $7.77 (£4.92) per month.

The top three most-desirable mobile wallet applications were receiving an electronic ticket without queuing (89%), real-time balance and transaction checks (86%) and paying for public transport (85%). It's notable that approximately two-thirds of respondents had already used their mobile phone for purchases in the previous 12 months, with almost half buying ringtones and almost a third paying for bus or train tickets.

The most memorable moments in life often go unrecorded. You don't have your camera in your hands. Your finger is still hovering over the 'pause' button on your audio recorder. Or you were simply too busy experiencing whatever was happening. It's all about the one that got away.
