A new mobile app called Click A Taxi has launched in the UK and Ireland, promising coverage across all towns and cities. It’s already available in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The Click A Taxi app is available for iPhone and Android devices. Customers who book via the app are located by GPS; the nearest participating taxi company is then located and the app provides regular updates on the arrival time. There’s no charge for the app and no fee for booking a journey.

Nikolaj Køster, co-founder of Click A Taxi, said “All over the world, taxi apps concentrate only on the largest cities, but what if you need to travel to a meeting in a different city or are among the majority of people who don’t live in a capital?  Click A Taxi aims to be the only taxi app you’ll need, whether you’re in Edinburgh, Cork, Leamington Spa or London,” he added. “Wherever you go, you can expect to get a quality taxi service at a good price. We’ve done the hard work of selecting trusted partners that have been vetted for quality, safety and pricing.”

Click A Taxi aims to cover most of Western Europe by the end of the summer.

ExclusiveKapture review: the audio-recording wristband

Mark Bridge writes:

The most memorable moments in life often go unrecorded. You don't have your camera in your hands. Your finger is still hovering over the 'pause' button on your audio recorder. Or you were simply too busy experiencing whatever was happening. It's all about the one that got away.

That's where Kapture can help.
