Nomad Digital, which specialises in providing wireless communications for buses and trains, has been chosen to install Eurostar’s new e320 fleet with WiFi for passengers. It’s been contracted by Siemens to provide WiFi on ten new trains before they’re delivered.
The company had previously been awarded a contract to install WiFi service when Eurostar’s existing fleet was being refurbished.
Haydn Abbott, Nomad Digital’s Interim CEO, said “Siemens’ decision to award Nomad the contract to equip Eurostar’s e320 trains with Wi-Fi demonstrates the quality of the Nomad solution as well as the value of its client service. We are delighted and proud to be part of such a prestigious project.”
Eurostar is currently spending £700 million to update and increase its fleet of cross-channel trains.
