Vodafone announces partnership with Cognatel for faster MVNOs

VodafoneVodafone UK has announced a new partnership with a mobile virtual network aggregator. It's now working with Cognatel, a relatively young London-based MVNA.

The partnership will give MVNOs easier access to Vodafone's mobile network and will reduce the time it takes MVNOs to get to market.

Mark Ashdown, Cognatel CEO, said "Cognatel can help brands reach new and niche markets by helping them create and manage their own mobile presence. We will work with them at every stage from verifying their initial proposition through to supporting the final market implementation. And we can move quickly so that they can launch their branded mobile offer within weeks, rather than months."

Vodafone announced a similar relationship with mobile virtual network enabler Teleena in May 2010. Orange UK has a partnership with MVNA Transatel, while Three UK works with X-Mobility.
