TAG Heuer announces the first Swiss luxury smartphone

TAG Heuer LINK smartphoneSwiss watch manufacturer TAG Heuer has announced what it’s calling “the first Swiss luxury touchscreen smartphone”. The TAG Heuer LINK runs v2.2 of the Android operating system and follows in the footsteps of the MERIDIIST, the TAG Heuer luxury phone produced by French manufacturer ModeLabs in 2008.

This new smartphone has a 1GHz processor, a 3.5-inch toughened glass display and a 5-megapixel camera - all sealed in a shockproof case that echoes the styling of a TAG Heuer watch. It’s constructed from materials including stainless steel, gold, diamonds and titanium... and is available in a choice of calfskin, alligator or lizard finishes.
