Sony Ericsson has announced a new Android smartphone called ‘Live with Walkman’. The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman features a dedicated Walkman button that provides instant access to the music player. There’s also Facebook integration that allows consumers to ‘like’ and share tunes, plus there’s Sony’s Qriocity service offering access to millions of songs and thousands of movies.
The phone has a 3.2-inch screen, a 1GHz processor and a 5 megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording. It’ll run the ‘Gingerbread’ v2.3 of the Android operating system.
Nikolaus Scheurer, Head of Product Marketing at Sony Ericsson, said “Consumers want smartphones to deliver a rich and social entertainment experience. Rather than a one dimensional music experience, they want instant and seamless access to new content, combined with the ability to share and connect with their friends. The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman provides exactly this, in a powerful package with great style.”
Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman will be available before the end of 2011.
