Rob Orr moves from Samsung to Virgin Media

Rob Orr - Samsung’s former Vice President of European Telecoms Operations and the temporary UK ‘head of mobile’ when Simon Stanford left - has been appointed by Virgin Media Business as its new Director of Large Sales. He’ll report directly to MD Peter Kelly.

Mr Orr had previously worked at Research In Motion (BlackBerry) and was appointed as RIM’s UK and Ireland managing director in 2012.

Peter Kelly said “As a business, we are committed to finding the right solutions and meeting the needs of enterprises across the UK, and Rob’s appointment will help us to achieve that goal. With over 15 years’ experience in the fixed and mobile telecoms sector, Rob will undoubtedly be an asset to our team. I look forward to the role he will play, alongside the rest of our business, in driving Virgin Media Business forward in 2015 and beyond.”
