Brian Krzanich, who was appointed as CEO of Intel Corporation last week, has started making changes to the company. He’s taking direct control of a number of business units and is also reported to be creating a ‘new devices’ group that will look beyond mobile.
The Intel Architecture Group - responsible for producing microprocessors used in computers, servers and smartphones - now reports directly to Mr Krzanich. In addition, Mike Bell, who’d previously worked with Intel’s mobile phone processors, is said to have a new position as head of a ‘new devices’ unit.
